Dr. Fisher’s work over the last twenty-five years has taken her across a variety of venues. She is an experienced individual psychotherapist, group leader, public speaker, workshop leader and community activist. Her work toward making a difference at the community level began in policy and advocacy on Capitol Hill and now locally as an elected township trustee. She has served on numerous non-profit boards for the past twenty-five years, as a trusted advisor, strategist and spokesperson. She has developed strategic plans for several non-profit organizations and white papers on educational and child/family issues. During her time in DC, she served as an issue consultant to numerous columnists, talk show hosts and press sources as well. Later, she hosted a live-talk political radio show for WLW-700 in Cincinatti, Ohio. She recently completed a one-year leadership course at the Institute for Governmental Leadership at the University of Illinois. She has been featured in Newsweek, the Washington Times, the Chicago Tribune, Investor’s Business Daily and numerous books and publications.
